In the late 1970s, Polish spy Józef Wieczorek (Jakub Gierszał) assumes the identity of Hans Steiner, the son of a German family in Strasbourg. As he navigates his double life, the real Hans, now Jan Bitner (Tomasz Schuchardt), begins to uncover his true origins. This gripping espionage drama explores identity and loyalty amidst Cold War tensions.

SEMMELWEIS

Beč, 1847. Ignác Semmelweis, strastveni mađarski liječnik nagle naravi svakodnevno porađa pacijentice i vrši obdukcije dok traži uzrok porođajne groznice, misteriozne epidemije koja ubija pacijente u bolnici. Šef mu zabranjuje istraživanje na tu temu i šalje svog asistenta da ga sabotira na svakom koraku. On zaprijeti i mladoj babici, Emmi Hoffmann, kako bi je natjerao da špijunira Semmelweisa. Nakon tegobnog početka, veza između Semmelweisa i Emme prerasta u romansu. Kada Semmelweisov prijatelj bude povrijeđen tokom obdukcije i umre od istih simptomima kao i porodilje, Semmelweis otkriva uzrok i prevenciju porođajne groznice. Polovina njegovih kolega ga diskredituje, ali on nastavlja borbu da dokaže svoju teoriju po svaku cijenu.
1847, Vienna. Ignác Semmelweis, the short-tempered but passionate Hungarian doctor delivers babies and carries out autopsies on a daily basis whilst looking for the cause of puerperal fever, the mysterious epidemic that decimates patients in the hospital. His boss prohibits him from conducting research into the subject and sends his right-hand man to cross him at every turn. He also threatens a young midwife, Emma Hoffmann, to spy on him. After a rocky start, the relationship between Semmelweis and Emma develops into a romance. When Semmelweis’s friend gets wounded mid-autopsy and dies with the same symptoms as the women in labour, Semmelweis discovers the cause and prevention of childbed fever. Half of his peers discredit him, yet he carries on with the fight to prove his theory at all cost.

Peterov odnos sa suprugom Lenkom (Lenka Krobotová) zahladio je zbog duge razdvojenosti zbog njenog rada u dobrotvornim misijama u Africi. Naďin suprug Viktor (Marek Majeský) ponovo se za promjenu „zaljubio“ u mlađu ženu. Slučajni sudar Naďinog i Peterovog automobila rezultira time da oni sve češće nalijeću jedno na drugo i u svakodnevnom životu. Međutim, ne samo da njihova djeca (2+2) ulaze u vezu u nastajanju, nego i bivši partneri traže pravo glasa. Tako počinje luda vožnja dviju nepotpunih porodica…
We meet Naďa (Tereza Kostková) and Peter (Tomáš Maštalír) at the time of the breakup of their marriages. Peter’s relationship with his wife Lenka (Lenka Krobotová) cooled due to a long separation due to her work at charity missions in Africa. Nada’s husband Viktor (Marek Majeský) once again “fell in love” with a younger woman for a change. The innocent collision of Naďa‘s and Peter’s cars has the result that they start bumping into each other in everyday life as well. However, not only their children (2 + 2) enter the nascent relationship, but former partners also apply for a say. Thus begins the crazy ride of two incomplete families…

Glavni protagonisti ovog road movie filma su dva starija gospodina koja putuju kroz Slovačku kako bi otkrili istinu o vlastitoj prošlosti. Tokom putovanja dešavaju im se bizarne situacije, upoznaju se sa neobičnim ljudima i postepeno sastavljaju mozaik-sliku svijeta koji se naizgled mijenja ali negdje ispod površine skriva neriješene konflikte. Upoznavajući jedan drugoga i živote kojima žive, počinju shvatati svoja djela i preispitivati svoje identitete.
The main protagonisto of this unique road movie are two old men traveling across Slovakia to uncover the truth about their past. Along the way, they find themselves in bizarre situations, meet a variety of people, and gradually piece together a mosaic-like picture of a world that outwordly changes but hides unrresolved conflicts beneath the surface. Through understanding each other´s lifes, they begin to comprehend their own actions and reevaluate their identities.
